Joana Vilaça is a Portuguese-born architect currently based in Switzerland. Vilaça graduated as an architect from the Technical University of Lisbon in 2009 and subsequently collaborated with several architectural offices in the Netherlands and Portugal.
Between 2017-2022, Vilaça worked as an architect at Herzog & de Meuron Architects in Basel, where she honed her skills in the design process, further expanding her architecture and design language. The opportunity to work alongside some of the industry’s brightest minds allowed Vilaça to refine her approach to architectural and design projects by emphasizing a harmonious blend of functionality, innovation, and aesthetic appeal.
